Sessions Topics

1. Getting Started with Staad Pro
Starting Staad Pro, setting configuration, setting back up manager, setting license configuration, understanding planar structure and space structure, understanding the user interface and the process of analysis and design, understanding all elements (beam, surface, plate & solid).
2.Creating grid system
Understanding grids, creating linear grid, creating radial grid, creating irregular grid. 3. Nodes
Understanding nodes, translation and renumbering of nodes, creating beam elements, creating plate elements, creating surface elements, creating solid elements.

Test session-I
Exercise including unit configuration, grid creation and node arrangements
Modeling of structure (1st) Creating structures with grids, creating structures without grids.
Modeling of structure (2nd) Creating structure by using different selection and geometry methods, importing structures.

Test session-II
Exercise for creating various structures Analysis (1st)
Creating simple planar structure, assigning property to the elements, applying loads, assigning the supports and analysis.
Analysis (2nd)
Creating simple space structure, assigning property to the elements, applying loads, assigning the support and analysis.

Test session-III
Exercise to analyze a multistory building after applying various dead and live loads . Design (1st)
Design the structure elements after analyzing the dead and live loads on a structure. Design (2nd)
Design the structure elements after analyzing wind and seismic loads acting along with dead and live loads. Design (3rd)
Assign the loads through staad editor, analyze and design the elements with load combination.

Test session-IV
Exercise to analyze and design a multistory building with combination load of dead, live, wind and seismic loads acting on the structure.
Exercise to analyze and design a multistory building with combination load of dead, live, wind and seismic loads acting on the structure.
Plate element and slab design
Using plate elements, applying plate loads, analyze and design the slab along with the staging elements.
Surface element and shear wall design
Using surface element, applying supports for shear wall, applying loads, analyze and design the shear wall along with other staging elements

Test session-V
Exercise including slab design and shear wall design.
RC Design (1st)
Creating load envelops, forming members, assigning the parameters, analyze and design the elements, prepare drawings.
RC Design (2nd)
Forming slabs and slab design
